Remote Device Lock & Unlock

The core of IBS: freeze a financed Android phone the moment an installment is missed, and release it the second payment clears — without a field visit.

How it works

IBS remote device lock lets a retailer restrict a financed Android phone when an installment is overdue, and restore full access the moment the account is brought up to date. Every phone enrolled with IBS is registered to your shop through the Client Dashboard. When a customer's installment plan goes overdue, you (or your staff, from the Dealer App) can remotely lock the device — the screen shows the payment-reminder wallpaper and the phone stops functioning normally until the account is brought current.

As soon as the payment is recorded against the installment plan, the same dashboard lets you unlock the device instantly — there's no need to wait for the customer to bring the phone back to the shop.

Two lighter steps before a full lock

Device lock doesn't have to be the first response to a missed payment. IBS also supports:

  • App lock & unlock — restrict selected apps as a measured first step, for customers who are only a few days late.
  • Call lock & unlock — reduce calling access as a further step for accounts that have gone quiet and stopped responding, before moving to a full device lock.

Built to resist tampering

Protected devices block factory reset, safe boot, USB debugging and the notification shade — steps a customer might otherwise use to try to remove the protection before the installment is paid off.

Part of a wider toolkit

Device lock rarely works alone. Enrollment starts with QR-code enrollment, and once a device is protected you also get live GPS tracking and SIM-change alerts for accounts that go quiet — the same Client Dashboard ties all of it to your installment ledger.
