Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about what IBS does, how device keys and pricing work, and how your data is handled.

What is IBS? +
IBS (Installment Business Solutions) is Android installment management software for mobile phone retailers. It lets you lock and unlock financed devices remotely, track GPS location, get SIM-change alerts, and manage installment plans and payments from a Client Dashboard and Dealer App.
Is IBS an ERP? +
No. IBS is not a general-purpose ERP. It's specialized software built for mobile phone retailers to manage installment plans, track payments, and protect financed Android devices — not a broad system for accounting, inventory, or payroll.
Who is IBS for? +
IBS is built for mobile phone shops and dealers in Pakistan that sell Android phones on installment and need a way to track payments and protect financed devices.
What are device keys? +
A device key is what enrolls and protects one phone with IBS. Pricing is based on how many device keys your business needs, not a fixed seat or branch count.
How many free device keys do I get? +
Every new business gets 10 free device keys to enroll their first customers and try IBS before committing to more.
How does remote device locking work? +
When an installment is missed, you can remotely lock the enrolled device from the Client Dashboard or Dealer App. App lock and call lock are also available as lighter steps before a full device lock.
Can a device be unlocked after payment? +
Yes. As soon as a payment is recorded against the installment plan, the device can be unlocked instantly from the Client Dashboard or Dealer App.
Can retailers manage installment payments in IBS? +
Yes. Every installment plan, due date and payment is tracked automatically, and overdue accounts are flagged so nothing gets missed. See the Dealer App.
Does IBS support Android phones? +
IBS is built for Android phones. It is not built for iOS devices.
Does IBS support Urdu? +
Yes. Payment-reminder lock screens can be shown in Urdu, English, or both, and our team can support you in either language. See payment-reminder lock screens.
How does GPS tracking work? +
Enrolled devices report their live location to your Client Dashboard, which is useful for recovery routing when a customer stops responding. See GPS tracking.
What happens if a SIM is changed? +
IBS alerts your business the moment a protected device's SIM card is swapped, so you can act quickly rather than finding out later. See SIM-change alerts.
How does QR enrollment work? +
Most phones are enrolled by scanning a QR code during the Android setup wizard at your counter. For devices or Android versions that don't support this, the IBS team can provision the phone manually. See QR enrollment.
How is pricing calculated? +
IBS pricing depends on the number of device keys your business needs, not a flat monthly fee. Talk to the IBS team to work out a plan sized to your business.
How do I get started? +
Sign up for 10 free device keys and our team will set up your dealer account and walk you through your first enrollment on WhatsApp.
Is my data secure? +
IBS is built and operated in Pakistan and stores your business, customer and device data to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details on what is collected and how it's used.
Is device locking legal? +
Device-locking requirements and laws can vary by jurisdiction. Businesses should ensure their installment agreements and device-management practices comply with applicable local laws.
How can I contact IBS? +
You can reach the IBS team on WhatsApp at +92 321 2729559 or by email at info@ibserps.com.
